WESTMILL WOODLAND BURIAL GROUND

Wild violets

I think my last blog was a bit of a lecture so I am confining myself to showing you all this lovely patch of wild white violets which are flowering beside the hedge at the top of the burial ground.  We were doing some work up on site today and spotted them.  We were followed around by a very friendly robin while a kite wheeled overhead.  Cathy has been up and filled in some of the dips that were forming around the willow bower to catch the unwary walker.  The rabbits are very active as you will know so this is rather like painting the Forth bridge.  We cannot guarantee to spot all holes but do our best with the most inconvenient ones!
