A team of us took a stall to Westonbirt Arboretum on the Bank Holiday weekend for their lovely event called Treefest.  We were delighted with the response.  Over a hundred people stopped to talk to us often for quite a long chat over a cup of tea.  We found ourselves discussing all kinds of things – funerals we do and don’t want, different kinds of coffins available, vertical burials, flowers, how to keep the cost of funerals down, talking to children about death, assisted dying and sharing a wide range of very personal stories.  We also gave out a range of leaflets on different topics. It just confirmed our feeling that, given the chance, people have a lot they want to say and learn about the subject.  We found it a very rewarding thing to do. The photograph shows Sarah with our lovely new banner.  Come the Festival in Oxford - there will be lots more opportunities for people to get involved.Westmill Woodland Burial Stall at Treefest 2012
